Title

[edit]

Shouldn't the title of the page rather be "Liquid ring pump"? That's what I searched for, but the article doesn't come up if you type it into the search box. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.203.21.99 (talk) 19:42, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and I have changed it. Biscuittin (talk) 23:59, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Environmental Issues

[edit]

Dear writer,

your article was very clear to me, so first of all I would like to thank you for your time and effort you have put in making this article. One remark stays unclear though: "Environmental considerations are making such once through systems increasingly rare." I was wondering if you could explain this a bit more, or mention a reference with more information about environmental issues. Thank you. Tristan Groot 11:10, 23 July 2007 (The Netherlands)

I didn't write that section, but I can answer that question. A typical industrial sized vacuum pump uses fresh water measured in Mega-litres per month, not litres. You can imagine there are fewer and fewer places in the world where a plant can justify pouring megalitres of fresh water down the drain, or even feeding it into downstream process, rather than recirculating and recycling the water.
