Ballpark

[edit]

There is conflicting information in the sources about what ballpark was used while a major league team. Green Cathedrals has Olympia listed for all the major league years, but NLDB has Olympic during independent years and the Catholic Protectory during major league years. Reconciling in favor of NLDB because of corroborating information from the 1912 team picture being taken at Olympic LbPirate (talk) 02:17, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not the first "colored" team in Nebraska.

[edit]

There is additional information available about teams from Nebraska. The Omaha Lafayettes were a "colored" team that verifiably dates to 1888. The team was composed of all "colored" employees of the Millard Hotel in Omaha. The team was cited as being "the colored champions of the nation."

Move to New York Lincoln Giants?

[edit]

Would there be any objection to moving this page to New York Lincoln Giants? Seamheads uses the New York modifier. I believe the New York qualifier differentiates the team from the Nebraska era. Rgrds. --BX (talk) 07:08, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's been nearly a month without opposition so I will proceed with the move. Rgrds. --BX (talk) 19:42, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
