- "owing to the perusal of three chapters in Hawkin's Life of Johnson." - If Hawkins was his last name, that would be a very bad grammar error.
- Wikilinking would help :)
- Expand biography a bit. If per se, parts of the quote were removed, I think a little more build up helps so it doesn't look like a small bit.

Review in Gentleman's Magazine
[edit]The classical scholar Richard Porson wrote a particularly brutal review of Hawkins' book in the Gentleman's Magazine, the more brutal because it's written as ironical praise for Hawkins' spitefulness and inaccuracy. The only place I have found a copy of it is here, and you have to get to p. 450 of the PDF file to find it. I think it's worth quoting. Lexo (talk) 01:59, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
