Leyland Buses in Cuba

<<A number of Leyland buses which were used for transport in Havana, were used to deploy Castro militia at during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. A convoy of such buses were caught on an open causeway by the invading Cuban-exile forces causing considerable loss perhaps as high as 1,200 casualities. This left Fidel Castro with need of more buses, so in an informal exchange for British subjects, including a pair of scousers, imprisoned in Cuba, the British Embassador in Havana Sir Herbert Marchant and/or his successor, agreed to help replace these buses. In 1964 after much diplomatic strife replacement buses were sent to Cuba, but these according to some sources were sabotaged at sea and wrecked [1].>>

Perhaps when well over a thousand Castro militia died burned alive in these buses during a single attack during the Bay of Pigs Invasion it is of some significance. Perhaps we should let others decide. The source for this is very left wing William Blum, US State Department official. El Jigüe 2-8-06
While this is very interesting, I don't think the information should reside in the Leyland Motors entry. The fact the buses were Leyland in tangential, and really irrelevant. If you deleted the word Leyland from the above text nothing is really lost. Besides, Leyland vehicles have been used all over the world, and I'm sure been part of many events (Northern Ireland terrorism, Suez crisis, Iranian revolution, invasion of Kuwait etc etc). Leyland Tractors

Trucks under British Leyland?

I've just spent half an hour trying to find where the trucks built during 'British Leyland' era (ie 1970s/1980s) are described on WP.

The British Leyland article is almost exclusively about the cars, and Leyland Trucks is about the much later company.

This is a bit poor, and needs fixing. Maybe could be solved by moving the section about 'post BL' commercial vehicles in this article to somewhere else, like British Leyland commercial vehicles perhaps?

It is not really my area, so I apologise for the drive-by comment.
