Leg Cutters (and off cutters)

[edit]

This description is incorrect. The diagram and the description are at odds. Both purport to be relevant to a right handed bowler. The diagram shows the index finger to the right of the middle finger. This is true only for a left handed bowler. The description states that the bowler runs his fingers down the left side of the ball. The diagram shows the fingers run down the right side of the ball. The leg cutter spins anticlockwise, from the bowlers perspective, which means that the ball rolls out of the hand over the thumb, not as stated over the little finger. The diagram, on the other hand shows a left hand imparting a clockwise spin thus producing a deviation from off to leg. See also off cutter which is similarly incorrect. Place your right hand in the air, thumb down, middle and index finger up, holding an imaginary ball. Compare that with the diagrams. 51.7.244.197 (talk) 20:53, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
