Moved as proposed. bd2412 T 15:35, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Left of MinorcaEsquerra de Menorca – The current title appears to be a made up name. The only English source Jason Sorens Secessionism: Identity, Interest, and Strategy 2012 p.181 gives the Menorquín (i.e. Catalan) name. Most sources are in Spanish, which also use the Menorquín name (as proposed) not translating it into Spanish. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:08, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Given the scarcity of sources for this party in English sources, we can't count on WP:COMMONNAME here. We would have to look into WP:ENGLISH and the specific naming convention for political parties to look for the answer, with the first specifying to follow the conventions of the language in which this entity is most often talked about, and the second highlighting that parties whose names are always kept in one language in a multilingual country also are commonly referred to by their native title in English, and so those names should be used in article titles. Despite me having been the article's creator under the current name, I sense "Esquerra de Menorca" would be most accurate in this case according to Wikipedia policies and guidelines. "Left of Minorca" could be left as a re-direct instead. Impru20 (talk) 15:50, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment DrStrauss I think you got it wrong here. "Esquerra de Menorca" doesn't have two parts. It is the Catalan spelling of the name, and it is independent of whether it is spelled Menorca or Minorca in the main article, as that is a whole different discussion which revolves on which one is the current use in English spelling. For example, there would never be a chance of this article being moved to "Esquerra de Minorca" (with the i), because "Minorca" would be the English spelling and such a proposal would mean mixing two languages, which has absolutely no sense. Hell, I'm even one of the people aiming for "Minorca" to not being moved to "Menorca" yet I'm supporting the move for this one, because these are unrelated.
