[edit]Where/how can I view this movie?
- Seconded! It's public domain and only two minutes long, so it's a shame that it's nowhere to be found on the internet. Maikel (talk) 23:45, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Does the entire film still exist or did only fragments of it survive?
[edit]This article seems to indicate that the entire film has survived, however the Wikipedia page on Georges Melies filmography (seen here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_M%C3%A9li%C3%A8s_filmography) states that only fragments survive. The clip that I watched on youtube seems complete and is timed at 3 minutes, 19 seconds; so unless the actual thing was longer than the three minutes this article says that it was, the filmography page must be incorrect. Can anybody confirm this either way?--Jpcase (talk) 20:33, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
- The Running time is listed as 60 metres with 3 minutes in brackets (3 min) possibly indicating an approximation. I have seen other old films listed as 20 metres and this always falls over a minute [but never an exact figure i.e., 1m6s or 1m9s] so it makes sense that 60 meters works out to be 3 minutes 19 seconds.
- Perhaps its the 'flexibility' of the film that allows for variations in time. Supposition! Uncertain? Savinien d C d B (talk) 04:01, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
Title should be changed to The Devil’s Manor
[edit]Le Manoir du diable is the original French title of the film and it translates to The Devil’s Manor.
The House of the Devil in French would be 'La maison du diable'. Savinien d C d B (talk) 03:43, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- Yes and no. The title you mention exists and is mentioned in a note. But the most common names in English are those the introduction presents. The most accurate literal translation of a title is not always the title chosen when it is translated. Still, I’ll expand the lead to make that clear, -My, oh my!
