Thoricus?
[edit]Should this article link to or be incorporated into Thoricus? This article includes a picture of the theatre which I would've liked to have found over there. --196.215.105.85 (talk) 18:17, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
When mining commenced
[edit]The date of 3200 BC is sourced only to a weak journalist source. This 2019 summary from Greek academic experts in the Bulletin of the Geological Society of Greece says "It is not precisely known when the first mining activities at Lavrion occurred. Archaeological finds of the Minoan Era indicate that this happened around 3000 BC." The weak source should be replaced by the strong source. Zerotalk 03:16, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Undiscussed page move
[edit]@Weatherextremes: has just moved this page from Laurium to Lavrio with the claim that the "Most common name in English is Lavrio." Is it though? I'd like to see some sourcing for that. Somewhat awkwardly, the page deals with both the ancient and modern place. I don't think I've ever heard the ancient place called "Lavrio" in English. Furius (talk) 21:37, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, here are a few discussing modern Lavrio

- But you are right the article deals with both modern and ancient Lavrio. Maybe a separate article is in order? Weatherextremes (talk) 00:14, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
