Pasting of translated web pages
[edit]I have again reverted pasting of (even more) automated translations of web pages. This is a copyright violation, and also makes the article repetitious and incoherent. Kanguole 18:45, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

- Your latest version has been hidden by an administrator, apparently because it contained material copied from https://doi.org/10.1109/ICET58434.2023.10211437 in violation of copyright. As I am not an administrator, I cannot see that version.
- In general, an approach of starting by copying in text from elsewhere and then editing it to make it different is not the way to go. The original copying taints whatever you do with it. It's much better to write something in your own words from the start. Kanguole 13:59, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

- I have reviewed this issue (I am the instructor supervising the student who is expanding this page). In the content I've reviewed I did not find any machine translation issues (feel free to quote relevant parts if you disagree); I did however see parts that were unreferenced and non-neutral and I asked the student to revise them before restoring. As for the copyvio issue, I would like to discuss it with the student but I also cannot see this - I'll @Diannaa - can you link to the public COI report, if one exist, or otherwise sent me relevant information by email? In order to review the iThenticate reports you will have to first log in to the CopyPatrol system and agree to the terms of use of the Turnitin people, who have kindly donated the use of this tool to Wikipedia. Then, you will be asked to provide authorization at Meta for access to your account. Now you are logged in to the CopyPatrol system. Click on the link to the iThenticate report you wish to view, so that you can see what was found by the detection service (The iThenticate reports may take a while to load).
