[edit]I think we should talk about different ways in which you can save landfill space. Maybe even talk about the cost and currently how succesfull it is. Also talk about other countries with succesfull diversion policies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JPTulacka (talk • contribs) 19:06, 23 April 2012 (UTC) I think we should divide up the different types of recycling into different catergories and elaborate on their costs and beneifits.JPTulacka (talk) 19:39, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
I expanded on biomass a little just for a little more background on it.JPTulacka (talk) 18:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

landfill
[edit]There are many things that people can do to divert landfills, but no one is really taking action, or good use of all the options we have.Amey1378 (talk) 16:23, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Neomalthusian or eugenicist?
[edit]If landfills have increased in number, then we are not doing enough to combat the growing population – is this NPOV,really? Why did the author assume that population growth needs combatting? If it does indeed, there have been such attempts in the past, but the uproar from groups targeted for 'reduction' is still rampant to this day. So the dilemma is: whom do we start from, and why.--212.109.146.81 (talk) 12:57, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
Greenwashing?
[edit]The article promotes official narratives with no attempt at criticism. Waste diversion is simply assumed to be good for the environment when that may not be the case. Recycling is resource intensive and produces toxic waste. Sometimes it is worse than making goods from raw materials. Also some of the wording is grade school level in structure and argumentative in nature. It reads like a school project.--ෆාට් බුබුල (talk) 05:35, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
