This is not translation or transliteration of a text. This is a well known prayer of Hindus. I have supplied the relevant background found in an ancient scripture called Sri Vishnu Puran. Further, I have provided the meaning in English in my own words. Pankajwillis 14:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine by me. I would suggest, however, that you consider copying the original sanskrit text to Wikisource and link it from here, because there are relatively few users on the English Wikipedia who can read sankrit.
