I added an {{unbalanced}} tag to the list of compositions as it nearly exclusively lists compositions published by Ricordi, while currently listing only one published by Schott. Schott published many works, including the prize-winning Tenebrae, so time to bring some balance in this list. --Francis Schonken (talk) 08:15, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The listing was like this since its creation. What the tag show ("viewpoints") reflects the choice of some past editor whom we can't even ask for their "viewpoint". Huber had many more compositions published by Ricordi than by Schott, + it's much easier to quote from the single Ricordi page than from the complicated Schott. I will do it anyway, because I hate the tag. The new article I wanted to write, and the translations for the Symphoniae sacrae will have to wait. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:51, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I picked several Schott publications, - not all, or it would again be "unbalanced". Not knowing the works, my viewpoint was interesting titles or scoring. I - as a reader - expect of such a list not balance, but to know what kind of topic and scoring a composer chooses. Francis, please restore (modified) the line about his two main publishers, - less "promotional" once on top than a publisher's name after every piece. The early pieces were published by Schott, the later ones by Ricordi. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:38, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Re. mentioning main publishers: well, there is a catalogue of manuscripts (which I added to the page): I couldn't say whether that is only manuscripts of published works, or not. I'd like to go away from the idea that it would be necessarily so that only printed works merit inclusion. --Francis Schonken (talk) 10:58, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
