[edit]Lead: "have become a fundamental part of all occasions." No meaning.
Bench: cite sources in article. last sentence is unclear and marred by typos. The language in this section is too close to the language of the source. Paraphrase must be completely in your own words; quotations appear inside quotation marks. This sentence is irrelevant: "Being the first class to present a school memorial, the class of 1912 had high hopes that following graduating classes would continue the tradition of leaving similar memorials."
Post: cite sources in text
Misteloe: This section properly integrates citations from a variety of sources, paraphrases rather than mixes quote and paraphrase, and includes references in text. Use this as a model for thttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrightshe rest of your article.
Wedding:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights link 5 is broken. I dont find source for this material.
New Years--no problem, nice writing
Blarney--link 7 is broken; wording is too close in reference 9
Games--informative and clear. Last sentence adds nothing
Frat boy--source?
Pope's Ring?--source?
Veneration of Icons--not enough about kissing. Both entry and source are on another subject.
This is close to a finished article. Please make edits indicated. However, the tradition of kissing as greeting we discussed in class is conspicuously absent. It would be the most widespread and interesting one to consider. The Wikipedia entry on kissing would be a good place to start getting information on it.

[edit]Greetings section is much improved, using relevant references to Wikipedia and nice range of other sources
Monuments section is well organized though heading could be clearer. How about "Kissing Spots"?
left behind a magnificent stone bench in their wake. redundant
While the bench does enhance the beauty of the Syracuse University quad, the kissing bench has become much more than an ordinary seat. The tradition began--unnecessary words
Good work on Blarney stone and Ellis Island
The evolution of this kissing tradition has come a long way. No matter how it started, a kiss under the evergreen plant undoubtedly still holds meaning for us today. It’s safe to say that this holiday tradition will be around for years to come.--wordy; find the substance, delete the rest
Wedding Kisses--well written; informative and entertaining
influential to
Kissing Games--this whole section is delightful
the most primary form
Perhaps the most relevant topic regarding religious kisses is the kissing of feet.
This intriguing section swerves from kissing to washing. Can you bring it back?
Excellent revision that needs just a little more work. Research, writing, organization have come along very nicely.
The passage under the Kissing Bench at Syracuse University, where it states "Currently the tradition stands that if a man and woman kiss while sitting on the kissing bench they will eventually marry," is extremely heterosexist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.119.216.180 (talk) 19:11, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]What is the origin of the "??? & ??? sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g" song? --Davidbessler 15:15, 20 October 2007 (UTC) I dont know, but it was common in New Zealand in the 1950s suggesting a British(maybe Irish) origin as NZ was not much influenced by any other culture before then.ie pre Tv and internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.58.189.177 (talk) 03:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
