Sawyer the artist's name
[edit]Smithsonian records list Wells Sawyer or Wells M. Sawyer as the artist with Cushing's expeditions. There are many Google hits for Wells Moses Sawyer, American artist (1863–1960 or 1961), but nothing for Moses Wells Sawyer. In a quick search on the Internet I have not found any reliable sources that could be used to create a WP article for Sawyer, so I think it is premature to link his name. - Donald Albury 13:00, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- There is a red link to Wells Moses Sawyer from the WP article about his daughter, Helen Alton Sawyer, and I have found three short biographical paragraphs about him here, so I will restore the red link in the article. I really would like to find at least one more reliable source with useful information about Sawyer before creating an article for him. I have started articles about artists/illustrators with no more information than what the Smathers Library has, but that was years ago and my criteria for starting an article have gotten stricter since then. - Donald Albury 13:29, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
