@Racnela21: This article was created in a single edit by user:Racnela21 who is affiliated with the Open Knowledge Association. This indicates that the work is a translation but there's no details or attribution as recommended by OKA guidelines and our license requirements. Please clarify the basis of this work. After discussion with user:Racnela21 on their talk page, they have added a dummy edit with some attribution confirming the Portuguese article as the translation source and so I have removed the CWW tag. Andrew🐉(talk) 20:56, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's also the mention of the French Wikipedia article there at the end. Maybe Portuguese version was originally created based on French? Y-barton (talk) 03:21, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It to some extent duplicates and in some cases contradicts the Kassites article. Whatever language it was in it also feels a lot like it was originally cribbed from an old encyclopedia with refs added.Ploversegg (talk) 05:29, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A number of things clearly didn't survive the translation process. It needs a good scrub by someone familiar with english wikipedia ancient Near East stuff, fixing names and doing wiki links. This new article largely duplicates what was already in the Kassites article so that can be used for reference. There is also a certain amount of encyclopedia fluff, probably cargo culted from the french version, which needs to be whittled down.Ploversegg (talk) 15:31, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This article should be merged into the Karduniash page. It's my understanding that "Karduniash" is what the Kassites called their country. Overall both it and the Kassites page need a good scrub, not really sure why they're separate pages in the first place but it makes sense at least in theory to have a page for both the ethnic group and the country.
