Why no mention of his Jewish Ancestry?

[edit]

Wiki loves pointing out Jews except when they are Nazis and Commies and gangsters and murderers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.21.192.21 (talk) 12:20, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

one week before the American liberators arrived, Col. Koch was arrested and executed in August 1943 by the Nazis

This seems to imply that the Americans liberated Buchenwald in August or September 1943. According to good sources, the liberation did not take place until April 1945.

You are right, I checked with [1]. August 1943 was his arresting, the execution was don in 1945, one week before the liberation. I fixed the article. andy 08:56, 10 Oct 2003 (UTC)

execution appearently was bit of a story itself. (didnt know that) Frank

The lampshade, etc stuff has been dropped in the reality department - however, it is true that it was/is an often repeated myth.159.105.80.63 18:40, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First wife

[edit]

Is there any reason why his first wife's name shouldn't be mentioned in this article? Rklawton (talk) 01:05, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Second wife

[edit]

The date of his marriage to Ilse contradicts the date in the German language version of this article. This may warrant some additional research. Rklawton (talk) 01:10, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
