I found him with Japanese war crimes. He did not get the edit done at all. Therefore, I edited it. My article is based on Kaneko Anji of a Japanese version. see 金子安次

Kaneko is introduced by the article on Japanese war crimes.

The same day, veteran soldier Kaneko Anji admitted to The Washington Post that the women "cried out, but it didn't matter to us whether the women lived or died. We were the emperor's soldiers. Whether in military brothels or in the villages, we raped without reluctance."[1]

The career of Kaneko believed his confession.

this wikipedia entry does not seem notable, neither does it offer any reliable sources. and of course the quality of English used, is not up to standard, I don't mind proof-reading it, and improving the English, but as it stands, the content seems to make it a prime candidate for removal.Sennen goroshi 14:57, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed text needs attention

[edit]

I have removed the following line from the article and moved it here:

  • He performed to documentary movie Japanese Devils in China, and confessed his cruel slaughter.

I looked at the Japanese Devils article, and see that it contains a "See also" wikilink to this article, but no other mention of Kaneko Anji.

I looked at the Imdb page on Riben guizi (2001), and see no mention of Kaneko Anji.

I googled around a bit and found a CNN article on [http://edition.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/east/04/07/japan.devils/index.html Japanese Devils shed light on a dark past], but it doesn't mention Kaneko Anji.

I'm not clear on what the connection is between Kaneko Anji and this film.

Also, this article could use some general fixups in English usage, and some english language explanation about the import of this document which the article links to would be useful. -- Boracay Bill 00:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anji or Yasuji

[edit]

Why is the article Kaneko Anji, while the article states: "Kaneko Yasuji". It would also be useful to include Japanese kanji for his name and/or correction of whether it is in the correct (English) firstname lastname order.--ZayZayEM 12:41, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV/OR wording to discredit Kaneko

[edit]

I am not saying that there is nothing suspect about Kaneko's *testimony* but this is blatantly innapropriate in a NPOV encyclopedia

However, no historian, even Yoshiaki Yoshimi who accuses the Army, adopts Kaneko's story as evidence, because it obviously contradicts the historical facts. Since he was born in 1920 and volunteered for military service in 1940, he cound not join the Nanking operation in 1937. And his division was located in Chintao, so he could not be a member of the Unit 731, which was working in Manchuria, far Northern China.[4]

It is loaded with hyperbole, "even Yoshiaki Yoshimi". It reeks of synthetic original research, A + B (cite), therefore C (uncited). It also sounds like a Fringe Theory.

As worded it seems like a deliberate attack on Kaneko. It needs citations that use explicit arguments against Kaneko. This may be hard, as it is difficult to independently verify that X (Yoshimi) doesn't cite someone, and this is significant because of reason Z.

It is not up to wikipedia to scrutinise and poke holes in Kaneko's story. If these inconsistencies are reported in verifiable literature, then we can.--ZayZayEM (talk) 13:06, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They are already reported in verifiable literature, as it was cited in the article. His absurdities are clearly pointed out in it. Blue011011 (talk) 16:56, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
