[edit]Does anyone have information about Klavdiya Plotnikova? I read somewhere that Kamas was thought to have died out before she was born, but then it was discovered that she still spoke it in about the 1970s (not sure exactly when). She lived for a long time in Estonia, and reportedly prayed in Kamassian. I'm not sure where I read this, but it would be good if someone has more information and could write an article on her. - I found infomation on Klavdiya Plotnikova in Ago Künnap's book System und Ursprung der kamassischen Flexionssuffixe — I — Numeruszeichen und Nominalflexion. --Hippophaë 22:19, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

Kamassian language → Kamas language – Most commonly used name 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 02:46, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support. Both The Oxford Guide to Uralic Languages (2022), and Routledge's The Uralic Languages, 2nd ed. (2023) confirm this, although the latter does occasionally also refer to 'Kamassian'. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 03:04, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Additionally, The Uralic Languages (2023) explicitly states not to use 'Kamassian', instead using 'Kamas'. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 17:28, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
