2022

[edit]

From 2022 there is no Junior WRC. WRC2 and WRC3 will have Junior Driver titles for Drivers and Co-Drivers. WRC2 Junior will be open to any driver under 30 and any car and all rounds with no specific registration separate to general WRC2. WRC3 Junior will be run by M-Sport using only their cars for drivers under 29 on the 5 rallies selected by M-Sport. This is the JWRC we used to know under a new name. My suggestion is WRC3 Junior now belongs as a section on WRC3 and WRC3 season articles. 2022 WRC Sporting Regulations --Rally Wonk (talk) 15:53, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Age limit

[edit]

"The championship's origins began in 2001 as the FIA Super 1600 Drivers' Championship, and included six events in Europe. Sébastien Loeb was the series' champion, driving a Super 1600 Citroën Saxo. The series became the Junior World Rally Championship the following year, with an upper age limit of 29 introduced." - 29 from 2002, are you sure? Do you have a source? I remember the age limit being changed (not sure about when). Pelmeen10 (talk) 18:35, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a source and clarified 2003. My offline source says in 2002 but it was in time for 2003 season. Looks to have stayed at 29 until WRC Academy when it was 25. CBA looking after. Rally Wonk (talk) 22:26, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The age for Academy should be mentioned in the article too (probably the age change I remembered). Pelmeen10 (talk) 14:49, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Manufacturer Stats Tables

[edit]

Are utterly ridiculous. Why are they necessary? What useful information do they provide when they are including the one-make years? Rally Wonk (talk) 14:49, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I removed this, needs too much update. Pelmeen10 (talk) 17:41, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Round wins by manufacturer
Car Total
1 Ford 55
2 Citroën 51
3 Suzuki 24
4 Renault 10
5 Fiat 3
6 Volkswagen 1
Total 144

I don't have e-wrc subscription, but I'm sure there's something else interesting to be added. Like number of starts, stage wins or round wins by nation. Pelmeen10 (talk) 17:44, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
