Commentary about this Wikipedia page, Joseph Smit
[edit]I would like to know if there is an example of a portrait of Joseph Smit (1836--1929)?
The page claims that Smit contributed to the books authored by John Gould, which, in turn, include illustrations by Henry Constantine Richter and William Matthew Hart. However, I think that this is not true, and I question the source as it is given on the page. Smit was simply active as an illustrator concurrent with the production of Gould's books in the middle to late nineteenth century.
I am trying to prepare a list of works to which Smit contributed. If I were to add a link from my own website, would this is a violation of Wikipedia's terms (in that I would be promoting myself)?
