As the first head of 20th Century-Fox Schenck was a major figure in Hollywood history, so this brief, un-sectioned thumbnail article needs considerable expansion. Whyaduck06:29, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
http://www.wid-m-2002.ru/ has been added as a source for the postcard image of Schenck's birthplace and as also referencing that assertion. I do not read Russian and am unable to accurately assess if the website is a reliable source. The website appears to perhaps be for a Rybinsk-area historical society as well as possibly an author's website, editorial oversight for the website appears to be problematic. As I see it the major issues are the copyright-status of the image, the factual accuracy of the image caption and the verifiability of claims made on this particular .ru website. Thanks in advance for your opinions and consensus-building. Shearonink (talk) 17:36, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
According to their About page, the site is indeed an effort of one or perhaps several enthusiasts who make the copies of rare archive documents publicly available. There is no oversight, nor does the site seem to operate under the auspices of some reputable organization, so it definitely does not qualify as reliable. I have no reasons to believe the information they publish is false, but the way the site is set up it's good for little more than some cross-checking or a starting point in a research. Hope this helps.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); February 22, 2011; 17:48 (UTC)
