Merger Proposal
[edit]According to this article Joseph Albright is only notable as the former husband of Madeleine Albright, therefore, I propose that the two pages be merged. --TommyBoy 02:24, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

I have to disagree. It's a very stupid idea. 1.they are divorced.they have identities of their own and even if they are not divorced, being a couple does not mean their identities are regarded as one. 2.Madeleine is the more prominent, more successful, more accomplished.she is never with the same level of accomplishment and popularity with her former husband. WHY MERGE???? --arabella marie f. stuart
I have to disagree. If the two need to be somehw linked, it should be in the respective articles. THese two have no shared accomplishments that warrant the need to link them.
Madelene Albright deserves to have an enry of her own.CJ Chapman 14:49, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
At the time I proposed this article for merger, It was one sentence long mentioning only his status as the former husband of Madeleine Albright. This article has obviously been expanded since then and had I seen the article in its current form, I would not have proposed it for merging. --TommyBoy 20:20, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- He still hasn't established notability beyond family relations though. Has he himself accomplished anything noteworthy. Otherwise I might merge the information into Madeline, and his grandfather. And then delete this article. 12.220.94.199 16:13, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
I think that the necessary work is to extend the article of Joseph Albright, and make an appropriate notation in the article about Madeline Albright that this article exists after briefly detailing their relationship but refraining from discussion of Joseph Albright's accomplishments to avoid repetitiveness.
They are two sperate people, give each there own credit.
Support merger: I think it is clear that Joseph does not merit his own article. A small note in Madeline's article would not detract from it at all. ProductofPublicEducation 15:30, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Merger Proposal Dropped
[edit]As result of the discussion on this Talk page and on Talk:Madeleine Albright, I have swapped the merger tag on this article for an expansion tag. --TommyBoy 16:47, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
More needed
[edit]Still not have found much about his career. Also odd, he took the name "Albright", but is listed as born in 1935 while his mother married Ivan Albright in 1946? So think maybe he was step-father. His mother's first husband was Jay frederick Reeve in 1936. So he might have been illegitimate, but need to be careful of course with a living (?) person.
