Attention
[edit]- This wikipedia article is all about The Simpsons. I understand that The Simpsons' success has far outshadowed that of the Tracey Ullman Show (to the point that most people don't even know that's where it started), but it seems that the show's wiki article could have more information, especially since it allegedly (though unsourced) won 8 Emmy Awards. - I totally agree. There's no information about the Tracy Ullman show. Just The Simpsons
- Everyone should remember that this show would have been almost completely forgotten had it not been for the Simpson's debut on the Tracey Ullman Show. The Radio Star 23:23, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
None the less "The Radio Star" this page is for the Tracy Ullman show not The Simpsons. Someone, with knowledge, needs to add more, so it's actually got more Tracy Ullman Show than Simpsons (Which it hasn't just now). QuietusExtraho (talk) 22:01, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
How many times do I have to say this?
[edit]Caucasian is not a skin colour. It is not a "scientific" term for any of the various definitions of "white people". It is a person from the Caucasus region of Eurasia. A "Caucasoid" is a quasi-anthropological classification based mostly on skull/facial structure, largely (but not completely) coinciding in geographical pre-migratory distribution with speakers of Indo-European languages. Please, please, please don't polute the English language by continuing to misuse this term.
- I don't know how many times you have to say it, since you don't say who you are, nor why you're saying it. Some context would have helped to discern whether this is a valid concern on your part, or an overreaction. You do realize, I hope, that common usage differs somewhat from the strict definition you attempt, and thus many articles (via citations and paraphrases) will have to rely on common usage? By the way, I say that you "attempted" a strict definition because I don't recall "quasi-anthropology" as a course offering in college. Rafajs77 (talk) 04:54, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Airings
[edit]Does this show still air anywhere on american Television? When was the last time it aired, does anyone know the answer to these questions? 23:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC) John
"All-American?"
[edit]I don't understand the purpose of saying that the show was "all-American." I understand that it was an American TV show, even though Tracey Ullman is British, but "all-American" is meaningless as a qualifier. I am deleting it. Rafajs77 (talk) 04:56, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Where are Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith in the cast?
[edit]Even if they only appeared as voices in the Simpsons shorts, they must surely be part of the cast. 78.149.237.224 (talk) 16:19, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
