[edit]Any help to make this page more professional is most welcome HaWe (talk) 13:13, 20 December 2009 (UTC) Can you tell me the source of the statement "In 1798 Captain Yescombe of the Packet Service advertized Wood cottage at Greatwood for sale, a property which lay near the ferry crossing at Mylor Creek. Joseph purchased the house, living there for many years possibly until his death", which as you will see from my user name is of interest to me.Yescombe (talk) 10:14, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

The other Joseph Fox
[edit]Joseph Fox (dental surgeon) (1775–1816) is much better documented, and is stated in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography to have been a friend of Edward Jenner. He lived in Lombard Street: "Another friend of Dr. Jenner's, the late respectable Joseph Fox, of Lombard Street" of [1]. Against that what Hubert Fox says about Joseph Fox of the London Hospital is really just hearsay.
So I think the identification made here is very probably wrong. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:01, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
