Mistake

[edit]

The surname "Solá" is written wrongly, it's Solà (with "open" accent). This surname is catalan and in this language the accentuated form of "a" is always "à", never "á".

Is Solá an older convention? The comet named after him is written Comas Solá rather than Comas Solà, suggesting that Solá might've been used at the time. Otherwise, it would be an odd error Nik42 (talk) 23:17, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Josep Comas SolàJosep Comas i Solà

Correct surname, as used in Spanish and Catalan wikipedias. A Spanish university held annually a Josep Comas i Sola International Summer School in Astrobiology, note the "i" in the name. In Manresa there is a street named after him and it also has the "i"[1]. Used by this person to sign his works while he was alive. Comets named after him had the "i" removed to comply with International Astronomer Union naming guidelines. --Enric Naval (talk) 08:17, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
