Birth year
[edit]Ref birth year as 1976 - Huertas could not have been born in 1976, he served in the Gulf War, he couldn't have served as a child!
- Available evidence indicates his birth year is somewhere between 1965 and 1969. His 8 years in the military is not in dispute due to it be widely documented and talked about in personal interviews (plus military service is public record, a FOIA request would reveal it so it's highly unlikely he would lie). 1969 would make him 20 years old during Just Cause, consistent with his mention of having spent 1 year at college before enlisting and factoring in time for basic training. 1965 would be an approximation based on his first acting role, which was in 1993, if we are to assume that he could not have been in the USAF and acting at the same time. Maybe you can do that, especially if you've served 2 tours already; I have no idea.Legitimus (talk) 20:16, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- I reverted your edits. You need to provide reliable sources for his birthdate (including year) and his military service. If something is "widely documented", you shouldn't have a problem backing it up. But to the extent that TV Guide is even a reliable source for any of this, it doesn't say what you put in.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:44, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
Some notes after a little digging. It's definitely not 1976 so people please stop putting that in. TV Guide is flat wrong. In this article with a military publication [1] he personally says he graduated high-school at 17, spent a year at college, then enlisted in 1987. That makes his birth year 1968-1969. I also attempted to run him through a verification-of-military-service site and got nothing using a whole range of years, so October 23 is also likely not correct (this same site I was able to find Shaggy with ease, so I know it works).Legitimus (talk) 00:18, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
