Johnny Warren has an ex-wife who went missing. (Nothing to do with him.) [[1]] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.116.122.51 (talk) 23:39, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

God bless you Johnny Warren. --Debunct 11:41, 25 December 2005 (UTC) We owe so much to Johnny, it is such a shame that he wasn't there in Sydney on November 16, 2005. Thankyou Johnny Warren.[reply]

An even bigger shame he wasn't in Germany yesterday. Rogerthat Talk 02:30, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The creator needs to edit Les Murray's eulogy on The World Game site, or remove it if it no longer exists online.

Citations Needed

[edit]

I've added one citation for the "call me a dreamer" quote made when he was presented the FIFA medal in 2002. Someone has placed a citation request against the text stating that Warren "wept openly on national television" when the Socceroos went down to Iran in 1997. How do you cite something that happened on TV? Grab a screenshot or something?

Justin 05:44, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed this particular need for citation because 'weeping on live TV 'is clearly mentioned in the newspaper notice of his death (already a linked reference at the bottom of the article). About half a million people - including me - saw him do it too, not that that counts as actual proof.

Good spot. I did not notice the fact request get put there.Tancred 09:45, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SheilasWogsPoofters.jpg

[edit]

Image:SheilasWogsPoofters.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Double spacing after sentences

[edit]

It's not really a major issue, but I think we should be consistent with the spacing after each sentence. It appears that before some of us at the Wikiproject decided to work on the article, it was written with double spacing at the end of each sentence. Personally, I used to use this as it helped me to break up the text. However, since editing Wikipedia I have changed my practises and now use single spacing (for what reason, I have no idea). From what I've seen, Hack also uses double spacing. It's not really a matter of Wikipedia policy, as the MoS doesn't mind which, as long as the spacing is kept consistent throughout an article (see this discussion). It's more a matter of what we prefer to use. I just wanted to clear this up. --timsdad (talk) 10:48, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
