RfC: Is this material on his brother appropriate?

Is this material on his brother appropriate?

Definitely not. Hardyandtiny (talk) 12:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I changed that section back to what it was before Frustrated Tenant inserted the dubious part.--Goodmorningworld (talk) 21:15, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree... the material about his brother is unnecessary at best and pure defamation at worst. It doesn't give useful information about the subject and seems to seek to tarnish his brother's reputation. Definitely let's keep it out of this article. I agree also. The material, as presented, is not appropriate. Perhaps a short sentence along the lines of 'There is some controversy over the fact that John pays the rent for his brother...' could be added but only if there is evidence for this from a reliable independent source. The guy is Italian.

Chances are that both of them are praying at the local catholic church every Sunday for the miracle of not living with their mother to begin with.

I mean, come on. Think about the level of comfort which the rear seats of the car of a woman who would go out with an Italian man offer. Then you come home, only to discuss your last five hours with about 18 relatives and relative's relatives and relative's relatives friends over a 5-course menu, because requiring a chiropractic after performing such an operation in a pleasurable manner is not hard enough already.

He is able to bring a lady friend home, because he actually has a home: Fugghettabout the rent. 77.22.40.200 (talk) 12:18, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In a recent episode of The Moth Radio Hour, Turturro reveals that his brother, Ralph, suffers from serious, chronic mental illness, and has been institutionalized. This needs to be updated because there is now a reliable sources, Turturro's own account.
