reaction to referendum

[edit]

There seems to be a bit of conflict between the Mail and the independent on the issue of suffrage. In the Independent interview he talks about how he is happy that the Island will still be Independent. He seems reluctant about the change but not apposed to it. The Mail on the other hand does show him as apposed and a bit disgruntled. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.195.244.141 (talk) 11:27, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not abolished!

[edit]

Please can the text saying the position of Seignuer has been abolished be removed. The position has in fact not been abolished and remains, all be it, with diminished powers. Jordi22 (talk) 21:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/lost-world-the-last-days-of-feudal-sark-421545.html This source mentions nothing of the position actually being abolished and http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=560645&in_page_id=1770 This source clearly states that the position remains. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding Jordi22 (talk) 17:11, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved to Michael Beaumont, 22nd Seigneur of Sark. Other suggestions created as redirects. Consensus is clear that the current name is not ideal, and although only two people supported "Michael Beaumont, 22nd Seigneur of Sark", no one has opposed it and it more clearly aligns with the principles of WP:AT, namely consistency and natural disambiguation. John Michael BeaumontMichael Beaumont – There is absolutely no need to have herhis middle name as part of the article title. "Michael Beaumont" is, unsurprisingly, much more common and would make a much more natural title. Surtsicna (talk) 10:32, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
