Not worthy of comment in the main article, but perhaps of interest to a passing researcher, might be an entry in the minutes of The Wine Committee of the [[Army and Navy Club], on 18 January 1934, “A sample bottle of Marres 1908 Port was submitted, the property of Sir John Asser, who has 15 dozen for sale at 170/‑.” This is presumably a mis-spelling of “Warre’s”.
