The result of the move request was: Moved to "Joška Broz" . (non-admin closure) Kostas20142 (talk) 14:26, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
Josip Broz (born 1947) → Josip Joška Broz – Per French, Polish and Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia. Charles Essie (talk) 19:14, 31 March 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. Winged Blades Godric 11:02, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
- My problem with this suggestion is that "Josip Joška Broz" isn't his name. "Josip Broz" is his name; "Joška" is a familiar form of Josip. Perhaps "Josip 'Joška' Broz" might be acceptable, but I don't think it's appropriate for us to suggest that Joška is something like a middle name. I don't know how the page names on the other wikis came to be, but I'd prefer not to repeat the error here. So, I oppose the proposed move. CJCurrie (talk) 22:54, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
- That orthography (Name Nickname Surname, without any punctuation) is quite common in Serbo-Croatian, where middle names are virtually non-existing, so it's not an error there. I agree, however, that it would be an error to transplant it into English. No such user (talk) 12:43, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose or Move to Joška Broz. But don't combine name and nickname as proposed. That's not how we do things on English Wikipedia. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:51, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Joška Broz per Necrothesp – it's a WP:NATURAL disambiguation, and even satisfies WP:COMMONNAME fairly well. He is quite often referred to just as Joška [1][2][3][4]. No such user (talk) 12:38, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Addendum to my original comments: I would be fine with a move to Joška Broz. CJCurrie (talk) 02:30, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
