Jimmy Callahan (actor) → Jimmy Callahan – Sole main title header which bears this exact name, thus obviating need for the parenthetical qualifier. Per explanation offered by Society for American Baseball Research, a player named "Jimmy Callahan" is historically referenced as "Nixey Callahan". A hatnote atop the actor's entry, "For the baseball player Jimmy Callahan, see Nixey Callahan; for other people, see James Callahan (disambiguation)", will explain the rest. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:46, 12 March 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. - Oppose per "Jimmy Callahan was" GBooks test = Jimmy Callahan (baseball) In ictu oculi (talk) 08:55, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
- It's not even very convincing that Jimmy Callahan (baseball) was moved to Nixey Callahan in 2006, as books seem to be 60/40 in favour of Jimmy In ictu oculi (talk) 09:06, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. After this nomination was submitted, Nixey Callahan's entry within the James Callahan dab page was changed from "Nixey Callahan (1874–1934), real name James Callahan" to "Nixey Callahan (1874–1934), real name Jimmy Callahan". However, the lead sentence in the article, itself, states, "James Joseph "Nixey" Callahan (March 18, 1874 – October 4, 1934) was an American pitcher", which confirms that his legal name was, in fact, "James" and that "Jimmy", same as "Nixey", was a nickname.
- The fact continues to remain that Wikipedia has only a single main header which carries the name "Jimmy Callahan". Ultimately, baseball's "Jimmy Callahan" is a redirect which is best handled via a hatnote atop the actor Jimmy Callahan's entry, as previously proposed. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:59, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose – disambiguation of names is good. Dicklyon (talk) 04:17, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
