[edit]Quote: "Then, on June 24, 1968, Northrup hit grand slams in consecutive at bats in the 5th and 6th innings."
Grand slams in consecutive at bats and consecutive innings matched a feat accomplished by Jim Gentile a few years earlier, but I seem to recall reading, at the time, that Northrup had gone him one better and had slammed on consecutive pitches. Maybe someone can verify if he hit the first pitch out the second time.WHPratt (talk) 13:14, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Location of Jim Northrup's death
[edit]There is a little confusion regarding the location of Jim Northrup's death. The assisted living facility where he was is Clare Bridge of Grand Blanc located at 5130 Baldwin Road, Holly, MI 48442-9306, phone number 810-603-0800 which has a web site at [1] and the confusion has to do with the location just north of the county line between Grand Blanc Township and Holly Township with the post office giving the facility a Holly address. I think I'm still confused. Steelbeard1 (talk) 21:52, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
In the slammer?
[edit]Can I get a clarification? The page says Norhtrup got two grand slams in a row. It seems he got them off consecutive pitches. Did he, in fact, do better than Jim Gentile, making Northrup the first to do it? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 15:00, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
