Low importance Canada related article .
[edit]How many visitors does this web page have in a month? Wikipedia indexes this webpage as " low importance Canada related article". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.117.222.136 (talk) 15:49, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
That's a rating by one or more Wikipedia editors. If you wish to change it, you could discuss it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Canada. Toccata quarta (talk) 17:40, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
To answer your question the page gets about 10,000 hits a month. Low importance is a subjective judgment not an objective measure of how much traffic the article gets. --Wlmg (talk) 22:42, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
Ambiguity in her biography !
[edit]According to DJ AM's biography and Anthony Keidis's biography on wikipedia website , Miss Stam's ex boyfriends were addicts, But editors didn't mention that major problem in Miss Stam's biography. Is there any specific reason ? Sir .Thank you for your time and attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.119.223.101 (talk) 11:08, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- See WP:DUE and WP:BLP. Toccata quarta (talk) 11:22, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Why did her relationship with Keidis come to an end?
[edit]Dear editors, Has Miss Stam mentioned any reason for her split from Mr Keidis ? Have anyone read anything about that ? 5.122.233.146 (talk) 12:11, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Dear IP articles about living people are just that. No doubt many celebrities will have many partners during their lives. There is really no reason to get into the nitty gritty unless it's germane to the subject in a notable way. WP:BLPGOSSIP--Wlmg (talk) 18:31, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
Philanthropic Activities
[edit]I have deleted the edits in this range [1] A primary source was used that she spoke at the United Nations[2] while this may very well be true. it is also true that the event was a private invitation-only two-day bicoastal conference. We need WP:RS about not only the event, but also the breadth and extent of her participation. PeaceJam, there was no source given for activities with this organization at all. If any of this is sourceable and Stam is placing more emphasis on her philanthropic activities, then maybe it can be included in the lede otherwise put it somewhere else in the article until such time as Stam's charity work can be proven substantive and ongoing. --Wlmg (talk) 21:32, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- There are some web pages mentioning it, but it's pretty hard to find anything substantial (example). Toccata quarta (talk) 04:09, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- That's about what I found too. It is important that no un-WP:DUE get into the lede. Consider the lede of Audrey Hepburn as a good example. What the IP posted read like Stam spoke at the United Nations. Since the Stam article is now segmented by years, a brief mention that she represented PeaceJam at this event held at the U.N. would seem sufficient even if the source isn't super-fantastic. Assessment comment
[edit]The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Jessica Stam/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
Some of this article is badly paraphrased from the Sunday Times Style article on Stam of Dec. 5, 2004. While the article in question is included as a link, shouldn't it be properly endnoted/sourced as well? |
