The American style
[edit]I spent an evening with Jerome Moross in the 60s in a studio, editing a copy of the tracks from The Big Country to resequence them in running order as opposed to recording session order. What a lovely man. He told me that he originated the American style (exemplified by the music for The Big Country), which Copland was later credited with. I have looked around and have not found anything about this online.
