Expansion of biography needed
[edit]As the section title states, more information is needed about Damase -- much more. In particular, a section on the composer's personal life is in order, and a great expansion of his professional life and significant musical projects is definitely needed. A photo or portrait of the composer will be a plus.
The list of compositions should be greatly diminished. Instead, a separate article on Damase's compositions, with a redirect from here, is in order. Erzahler (talk) 05:40, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Mystery of Damase's father
[edit]Does anyone know who Damase's father is? Presumably there was some man called Damase in the picture--several sources claim he is from a 'musical family' but then only go on to discuss his mother. On the wiki for his mother, Micheline Kahn, user Moalvb added an edit stating that Alfred Cortot is Jean-Michel Damase's illegitimate father. Big if true, but there is no source cited for this claim. Who was the Damase whose name was given to Jean-Michel? Is Cortot Damase's real father? Hippitywapiti (talk) 10:40, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
