CATALAN NAME
[edit]His real name is Jaume Alguersuari! --Davidpar (talk) 11:01, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Says who? Bretonbanquet (talk) 15:22, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. He's known as Jaime Alguersuari so that's what the page is called. MotorsportPete93 (talk) 11:41, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- The pronunciation could be cleared up a bit, saying it's pronounced "Heimi" doesn't make it clear. Is that hi-mee or hay-mee? BBC have been pronouncing it hi-mee. Perhaps an IPA version would be better.Patrick lovell (talk) 14:41, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Pretty sure it's 'hi-me'. The second syllable of the surname doesn't look right either, I think it's more like 'zyuh'. I don't know how to do those IPAs though--MartinUK (talk) 13:52, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- It is "hi-mee" since that was what the locals dubbed me when I lived there. Surname should be "al-gehr-SUA-ri" unless there's a particular Catalan pronunciation I'm not aware of. The "gehr" syllable should be short. Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:57, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

superstar DJ?
[edit]I read something in a racing magazine recently saying that Jaime is also a pretty successful DJ, and in fact in spain is better known for this than his racing career. Does this not deserve a mention somewhere in the article? Coolug (talk) 13:24, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Alguersuari
[edit]Where does the surname Alguersuari come from? Is it Catalan? --Error (talk) 22:51, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
- Pretty sure it is. Rare outside Barcelona. Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:09, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
