This article previously had a photo of a structure purported to be the 1859 Jackson County Jail in Independence, but as someone who lived less than two blocks from that structure for eight years, I can assure you that whatever jail that was, it was not the 1857 jail, or any jail located in Independence that I know of. I replaced the photo with one that I took of the structure, and added a few details to the article. Unfortunately, the internet just doesn't have that much info on it; I've put just about everything I can find. - Ecjmartin (talk) 02:05, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
