[edit]Already has essential pieces - though could use more - and citations for existing data • master_sonTalk - Edits 10:04, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Is there a reason why the History section precedes the Route description? WP:USRD/MOS puts these in the opposite order. --LJ (talk) 04:50, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's not a big deal - I think a few USRD FAs do this as well. --Rschen7754 (T C) 09:53, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]The pertinent details from the article on the 2002 accident were already here. I independently added more content to this article using the source. The other sources used in that article include (with full citation details added):
- Benson, Dan; Johnson, Mike (December 21, 2008). "Drivers cite poor visibility, slick pavement in pileup". Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
- "15 hurt in 38-vehicle pileup". The Daily News. Iron Mountain, MI. March 6, 2010. Note, this article is about a totally different crash that is not even on I-43, but lists previous accidents that do involve I-43
- Journal Sentinel. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=86864 10 die in horrific pileup. October 10, 2002. - Retrieved: May 13, 2007. [dead link]
As for the rest of the content, merging it here wholesale would add undue weight to an event, that while tragic, had no lasting impact to the road, transportation planning or an impact outside of the immediate geographic area. Imzadi 1979 → 07:36, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Southern extension?
[edit]I don't remember where I heard it, but wasn't the highway proposed at one time to be extended to the south, into Illinois? If so, can someone add it to the article? Thanks. Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 03:05, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
I41 rather than US41
[edit]At the northern end of I43 is I41. It has not been US 41 in Green Bay for close to a decade. Please update to the correct road.
US41 officially became I41 April 7 2015 in this section. https://www.wisconsinhighways.org/indepth/US-41_history.html#:~:text=Finally%2C%20in%20early%202005%2C%20a,officially%20approved%20and%20Interstate%20route 198.51.76.1 (talk) 15:52, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- North of the I-43 junction, the freeway bears the US 41/US 141 designation. South of that interchange, it is I-41/US 41/US 141. Thus the article is still correct. Imzadi 1979 → 18:21, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
