SI specifications for quantity calculus

There is nothing on this topic in this article. Basically I was looking on WP for a discussion on different conventions in labelling the axes of graphs, and found nothing. Then I came across this specification and example given in this SI Brochure of the BIPM. I am not aware of anything elsewhere in WP, but my searches may be inadequate so please point me to other places. Would others agree that this article is an appropriate place to add a short section covering this SI convention for graph labelling? Op. Deo (talk) 20:07, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

I think we really need a separate article on quantity calculus, as it is not specific to SI units. There is a very short sentence in physical quantity, which defines a quantity in terms of quantity calculus, but I agree that a longer discussion would be both appropriate and useful.
