- Comment: I am aware there are some uncited sentences in the article, but I hope that with help from @Theodoreesquires I will be able to reference them.

- Hook is interesting and sourced. QPQ is done. Will support after the article's citations have been completed. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 03:13, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Theodoreesquires: Can you help me with this? You likely know best where those currently uncited statements came from. You don't have to, since I nominated; but it would make things easier for me. –LordPeterII (talk) 10:45, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- I would suggest taking a look at the existing sources and seeing if any of the information in them lines up with the uncited claims. Aside from that, I'm afraid birds are far and away from my field of expertise. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 17:49, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- @LordPeterII: Hey friends, I'm relatively new as an serious editor and very humbled by the interest in the article. Please forgive me if I don't follow protocols exactly here. Birds are very much in my wheelhouse and the information included throughout this article is verifiable and most is redundantly mentioned across several of those sources. I am unfortunately poor with my references still and need to get better at formatting them appropriately in wikitext so they can be re-referenced down the line. As Krisgabwoosh suggested, you will find mention of Incas dying in Martha's cage mentioned across most of the sources on the page. I reccomend using https://johnjames.audubon.org/last-carolina-parakeet if you need something especially reputable. Theodoreesquires (talk) 19:58, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hello @Krisgabwoosh: and @LordPeterII:. I've done my best to improve the citations on the article today. Please let me know if there is still an opportunity to have this accepted as a DYK or if there are other improvements you would like to see. Theodoreesquires (talk) 13:55, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- The final sentence of the first section remains uncited. After that, should be ready to go. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 17:56, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for reviewing @Krisgabwoosh: It should be ready to go now, citations have been included for the line in question! Let me know if you need anything else from me to get it placed in queue. Theodoreesquires (talk) 21:33, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Looks good to go. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 21:44, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry I was away. Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for finishing this, cheers! –LordPeterII (talk) 15:02, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
