Discrepancies in Inventive History

[edit]

There seems to be some discrepancy between this entry and that of the Brassiere (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassiere) which credits modern bras to, among others Herminie Cadolle in 1889, Mary Phelps Jacob in 1914 and the Great Exposition of 1900. It also shows a picture of the supportive bra stated herein to have been created in the 1920s, in 1900 from France. It also points out that the patent is owned by Mary Phelps Jacobs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Phelps_Jacob) filed on November 3, 1914. One or many of these facts seems to need revision. .You are right. Brassieres are much older and were already used in europe before company started in USA. 178.3.31.151 (talk) 22:29, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
