'I Care' resonated soulfully. Well, it's quite short. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:12, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Live Video

[edit]

AOL has just unleashed the video "I Care (Live At Roseland)" from Beyoncé's 'Live At Roseland' DVD release.

Beyonce 'I Care' Video Off 'Roseland' Debuts -- Exclusive

DVD set 'Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4,' and now, we've got an exclusive video of the standout track 'I Care.'

In the clip below, an exceedingly fierce B commands the stage, even though she spends most of the song seated. Decked out in a sparkly mini dress, the R&B megastar is all growls and snarling glances. At one point, when she sings, "Ever since you knew the power, you made me cry," she flexes her bicep, no doubt striking fear into the heart of whatever dude dared do her wrong. Later, the guitar player in her all-female band steps up front and shreds a wicked solo on her Flying V. Beyonce mimes like she's playing, whips her hair and then stands up, ending the tune like a triumphant rock 'n' roll goddess.

Promotional single

[edit]

He to be send on the italian radio in this friday. So... how he is non-single because Italian Single Chat is only grounded in music download, and call the "song" is wrong. Promotional single is a better way to call this song. Silencio faz bem (talk) 00:19, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Her official website states that the SINGLE will be sent to Italian radio tomorrow. — Status {talkcontribs 09:56, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree calling this a promotional single but calling this a full single is delusional. Not only it is being released in one country, it is also being sent to radios in a country where is airplay does not mean anything to charts. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:29, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You just can't call whatever song you'd like a promotional single. The song is being sent for airplay, whether it has anything to do with the charts or not. I can see the problem if it was just reported by some random Italian website, but it was reported by Beyonce's website, with a cover, calling it a single. I say if it doesn't get released on another format within a month or so, it can be changed back to a song, but the fact remains that it is being sent to radio and being called a single. — Status {talkcontribs 10:35, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just because a website labels A, B, C, ... X as a single, it does not become a full single. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:39, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yet, in the past you always said "wait for label confirmation"; well, here it is. — Status {talkcontribs 10:41, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But in the past as you just wrote, I did not know that airplay is not counted while compiling charts for countries other than the US. And please, don't bring "Party" here. We have a Billboard source which clearly states "End of Time" is the fifth single. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:44, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

P.S I have to go to work. My beak is over, I will be back much later. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:45, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Billboard is an American magazine, thus it would provide information from a US stand-point. We have Beyonce's website calling "I Care" a single. The same reason Dance in the Dark is a single is the same reason this is. And Gaga's website didn't even confirm it as a single. — Status {talkcontribs 10:48, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • First "Dance in the Dark" is not a single. A radio in Australia posted online that Gaga's management team / label confirmed sending it to radios there (So you have the wrong information here). But still, I don't believe that it becomes a single for that as ARIA itself has confirmed that airplay is nothing for them. You can email them. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 10:55, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
E.g "Hold It, Don't Drop It - this song wasn't released in the US yet is still a single. It doesn't have to be released in the United States to serve as a single, it can be any region. Promotional singles? Why would the promotional term still be used with this album, it was released last year and it's promotional stages are over. If Beyonces official site says it's a single, (while its being sent to radio) it is. −Arrekea(Talk) 12:50, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My dear, when and where did I say a song has to be released in the US to be a single? Can I know where you saw that? I was talking about a radio release. Comment only if you have researched the way the music industry works. And yes, worldwide not only the US. Be careful with what you write. Do not misinterpret things. And please, don't bring Jennifer Lopez here. Their marketing cannot and should not be compared. Not to mention that that song has both promo CDs and Digital EPs. I am saying again, please write carefully. Thanks for your comprehension. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:29, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I Care was launched in Italy on the radio to promote it. It's a single. The record companies do not bother to launch more digital singles, since they can already be bought from the album. This was the case of Love on Top that was just released on the radio (excluding Belgium). Even with the release only on the radio Love on Top was certified in three countries, showing the launch on the radio, it is considered a single. Silencio faz bem (talk) 17:56, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Don't forget that LOT had a video. It was released as a stand-alone download. And most important, record companies do release songs again, I mean they release remixes by DJs. They do that. That's what promotes a song's release at least outside the US. And frankly, released to radio in only one country which does not even count airplay while compiling charts? If you think I am lying, email FIMI. They do reply. If you don't know how to write Italian, use Google translate. Simple. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:06, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Passing, there is nothing wrong with this article :-). You're really good at writing them. Only one question though, does a release in Italy not make it a single? Aaron You Da One 10:28, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There was a discussion about that on the talk page. It's not making it a single because it was released only to radios in Italy where airplay does not mean anything to the charting of the song. My love is love (talk) 07:25, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
