IC 4381 → NGC 5008 – Common name; in general NGC designations are used instead of IC. SevenSpheres (talk) 23:29, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- Weak support: Most of the sources in the article use the name NGC 5008. I do get a few more galaxy-related results on Google Scholar for "IC 4381", but the papers that use "NGC 5008" are more recent. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 03:06, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
