Requested move

The list of South African slang, referenced in the article, refers only to Howzit, not Howzat. I'm not expert, but the Saffies I've met have all said "Howzit", not "Howzat". --Dweller (talk) 09:02, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I concur, as does the interweb. Here is an SA government funded source. A search in the .za domain space for "howzit" yield more than 20 000 results, the same thing for "howzat" yields less than 1 000. That last search also seems to confirm (as I believe) that "howzat" is actually cricket-originated slang, in the sense of an appeal to the umpire slash victory cry. 9Nak (talk) 16:37, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hawaiian Pidgeon

I'm not sure I can find a source but I'm from Hawai'i and I can say with absolute certainty that we definitely say "howzit" all the time.
