Is this a Howard Davies CV
[edit]I cannot see one link/citation/external reference
I do know plenty of criticisms of his actions
What gives? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.109.64.183 (talk) 14:33, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
There is also no mention of his time as director of the LSE, of which he was forced to resign over hte Saif Gaddafi plagiarism affair. --86.7.36.148 (talk) 01:28, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Financial Services Authority
[edit]Was Howard Davies really "forced to resign"? Please could someone supply some evidence? Poshseagull (talk) 08:45, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Not an economist
[edit]Howard Davies is not an economist. He has no qualifications in the subject. In his career he has been a senior civil servant and a university administrator, but he has not held the role of economist. Unsigned. 12:22, 25 March 2011 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.143.63.78 (talk)
- Interesting POV. Having run the Bank of England and the FSA does not make him an economist then? The word you are looking for is "academic", not "economist". And even then, saying he has no qualifications is rather odd, unless you want to posit that academic qualifications are completely independent from the real world. --217.94.39.85 (talk) 22:34, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that this does not address the remark at all. I may have run the Ministry of Justice and the Law Society of England and Wales but that does not make me a Lawyer and I could not practise as such. Also, the original poster did not say that he had no qualifications at all but that he had no qualifications in economics and that appears to be true. So unfortunately your contribution has not answered the assertion. 82.31.145.214 (talk) 09:44, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
