--PunkyNZ (talk) 10:15, 25 August 2009 (UTC) Article updated using primary sources including orginal documents from Martineau's military file held by Archives New Zealand. The detailed summary of evidence includes sworn statements from the officers who were involved in the altercation with Martineau which resulted in his return to New Zeland and discharge from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force due to misconduct.
