Song
[edit]Is it worth mentioning that in the novel she is singing "'Marion, a plaintive little calypso" rather than Mango Tree, when Bond first meets her? There are four lines from it in the text.Billlion (talk) 17:22, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Honey rider Nude
[edit]In this film, just before Honey gets thrown a towel in the decontamination scene, Honey can be seen fully nude. I'm writing this on 03/10/2008 but have never seen it reported before although i've known it for the last 10 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.220.189 (talk) 22:28, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Ryder or Rider?
[edit]What's the correct spelling? James Bond articles currently use both variants.--Paracel63 (talk) 14:17, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- The closing credits of the film list her as "Honey Ryder".[1] The article should either be titled "Honey Ryder" as in the film, or "Honeychile Rider" as in the book. Batternut (talk) 14:14, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

It seems like the bikini is better off mentioned in the context of the character, since that is whom it is associated with. Specifically, a lot of reception focuses on how the character looks in the bikini and how it established the character as a famous Bond girl. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 06:36, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose: The bikini is one of Wikipedia's few articles on notable clothing in art / popular culture, and we need more, not fewer, of those. If anything, I could argue the piece of clothing is more important than the character: there's plenty of bond girls but only a couple of bond clothing items with such a significant impact on overall society. I should probably add I'm not doing that, and I'm not saying the character (this page) isn't notable. What I'm saying is having two articles is fine :) Regards CapnZapp (talk) 12:56, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- Not really seeing how the bikini is important out of context of the character. It was not worn by anyone else, and part of what makes the bikini notable is the character's scene while she's wearing it. There's probably a reason there are few articles on notable clothing only; most of the time they can be described within the context of who is meant to wear them. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 23:20, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- No, the probable reason there's so few articles on notable clothing is because this area is traditionally one most Wikipedians aren't interested in and have little knowledge of. If you don't see its importance separated from the character or actress even after reading its article, and this quote in particular
The Dr. No bikini is cited as the best known bikini of all time and an iconic moment in cinematic and fashion history
, I really don't know what to say. CapnZapp (talk) 15:25, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
