I see this article was previously deleted in a deletion discussion ended 3 Jan 2010, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Holiday Inn, Townsville. It was recreated on March 3, and put up for speedy deletion today. I de-prodded because I saw it made a claim to be the tallest building in the city. I then added some quick references and will tidy up more later, as it does appear to be notable.--Milowent (talk) 15:52, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:N states "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article." At the time of the AfD this was not the case. A few references in the local media or accommodation guides doesn't really meet WP:N's requirement of "significant" coverage. And yes, its height was an issue. I raised that in the discussion. --AussieLegend (talk) 16:06, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Give me a chance with it if you will, mate, let me see if I can't fix it up. Its clearly notable to anyone who talks about Townsville, so I am hard-pressed to see how Wikipedia would be improved by the deletion of this article.--Milowent (talk) 16:21, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to see it stay since I am a fan of prominent architecture having a place on wikipedia. Make sure you read the past deletion discussion and get some good sources so there aren't any issues. Australia and its urban centres and the Bulletin are perfect. One or two more to couple with the trivial coverage would be nice but the minimum requirments should be met.Cptnono (talk) 19:17, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
