Mention of spread of printing to Japan
[edit]In the section Spread of printing across East Asia, with regards to Japan, there is no mention of the Hyakumantō Darani for some reason. I don't have Tsien's book so I can't check the source, but the existence of a woodblock printing from the 700s seems a lot more relevant than one from 1009. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.2.143.156 (talk) 11:19, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
Confusion on Dates
[edit]This article claims that the oldest extent movable-type printed book is from 1377, then shows (in a picture) part of a printed work "printed late 13th century." Is this picture unrelated to movable-type printing? Has someone got their dates messed up? I'm not an expert on this, but I think something might need fixing. If not, a clearer explanation of the photo's point might be in order. Thanks! 68.190.90.182 (talk) 03:33, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
